CITIASSIST LOAN BY CITIBANK FOR UNDERGRADUATE INERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN VIRGINIA
Eligible undergraduate international students may apply for a CitiAssist Loan, administered by Student Loan Corporation, of which Citibank is the majority shareholder. The loan provides financial assistance up to the cost of attendance, minus any financial aid to approved schools in the US. The loan may be used to cover a range of expenses associated with pursuing study in the US, including tuition, room and board, transportation and other living expenses.

All international students require a creditworthy US citizen or permanent resident co-signer. INS documentation is also required for international students. There is no origination, guarantee or repayment fee. Interest rates are variable and based on the prime rate plus incremental rate as low as .05%. Students my take up to 20 years to repay with repayment beginning six months after leaving school or dropping below half-time status. There are no prepayment penalties and there is an interest-only option for 24 months after graduation.

Undergraduate loans range up to a maximum cumulative education debt of $120,000 including both private and federal loans, with annual limits set at the lesser of $50,000 or cost of attendance.
